the challenge word is RHYTHM. rhythm to me is hearing the beat to music. music is the rhythm. if you don't hear the beat there is no rhythm and there is no music. i love to just close my eyes and listen to the sound of music. whether the rhythm is coming from a horn, drum, piano, a heart beat, a clock, everything has a rhythm.. the rhythm is here if you just listen.

The horn is looking gooddddd! Did you make using your photo elements software? I love it.
yes, i used the same technique as the portrait. i am glad you like it.
I have only recently started following your blog and love your enthusiasm for your craft. I am a very amateur quilter and would love to get into something like portrait quilting that will peak my interest further. I especially would love to memorialize in a quilt my daughter who died seven years ago. Please advise a starting point for me, like how-tos that I can read up on.
the techique is by maria elkins, she has a dvd that can be downloaded for about 14 dollars. i advise to get the download because you can print the instruction off. where the dvd does not give you a list of instruction. she gives about 4 different techiques on doing portraits. i have done so many now that i don't do the four grayscaling like maria elkins i only do 1 or 2 grayscaling. once you see her techique you will understand. good luck.
This is beautiful! The 'simplicity' of one horn along with your colors and design is wonderful.
love it!!!
