ZENTANGLE

about a couple of years ago i tried my hands at doodling on fabric.  i always doodle on paper. now i am finding out that they call this technique ZENTANGLE.  i love doing this.  it is so relaxing.  right now i am trying to make a collection of these and i plan to transfer these drawing onto fabric blocks. if only i had kept the one i did long time ago.  i would tangle and then throw them away.  i am now keeping them in a journal.  if you recall i did an zentangle of a lady on fabric about a year ago.  i have been trying to figure out what to do with her.  so i decided to do a few zentangles and add it to the quilt.the first zentangle is a challenge piece call mooka.  i am in a zentangle challenge of the week on another blog.  so check out what i have done so far and i hope you like it.

check with me later i am working on a oprah winfrey portrait.  i will post it when it is completed.

stitches for now.

You are so talented. I doodle on paper too, mostly flowers and stick people, but nothing like this. I can't wait to the actual quilt.

Wow Yetunde!!! There you go again, the artist in you is really working these designs. I can't wait to see the completed item.

Yetunde,
Ditto to all that has been said. You are an inspiration.

omg, what great designs! When I doodle it usually ends up looking like sticks and lines.

I wanted to send you an email, but couldn't find your address anywhere. I've been doing Zentangle since the week before Thanksgiving. As I was just starting out, I looked to the work of others to imitate and learn. The second image on this post of yours is one I drew (not exactly, but I did borrow several of the elements of it). I was putting together a coloring book for my husband and kids. This was one of the pages.

I am at the point that I'd like to share my coloring book on my blog and my facebook page. But since I took so many of the elements for my page from your drawing I wanted to check with you first. I would give you full credit for the original design and include a link to this post. I'd be happy to send you the file first so you can see it before you decide.

If you don't want me to use it, I will not.

Please email me at misssrobin@yahoo.com (that has three esses) and I will send you the file.
